The fee chart example below is for the 2008-09 academic year and shows sums for three quarters. Your ZOTBill will have the updated fees for 2008-09. All fees are subject to change without notice, and the University may impose additional fees. Check the Quarterly Calendar with Deadlines on the Registrar's home page for payment deadline dates.

"Room and Board" includes food, snacks, meals on campus, dorm charges, rent, utilities, household supplies, etc. "Personal Expenses" includes clothing, laundry and dry cleaning, personal care, insurance, recreation, etc. "Fees" includes a mandatory health insurance fee, and fees are subject to change; nonresidents add $20,608 to the annual fees. Expenses for students living off campus vary depending upon number of roommates, location of housing, amenities, and other factors. On- and off-campus estimates are based on two students sharing a bedroom. Figures are based on annual surveys and are intended only as a guide in computing average expenses. These figures are subject to change and do not include nonresident tuition. Student expense detail is available from the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships.

FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS

UCI's outstanding financial aid program offers a variety of scholarship, grant, loan, and work-study awards to assist students with their financial needs.

IF YOU SUBMITTED A FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID (FAFSA) You can check your application status as well as view your financial aid award at www.ofas.uci.edu at logging into My Aid. The website also provides you with specific information about the financial aid process, types of aid available as well as deadlines and important deadlines. Notifications of financial aid awards begin in April and are sent to you via email.

Scholarships
Information regarding University Scholarships is contained in the UC Application for Admission and Scholarships as well as www.ofas.uci.edu/content/Scholarships.aspx. All UCI applicants are automatically considered for the University scholarships.

THE SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES PROGRAM assists students in obtaining scholarships external to the University while matriculating at UCI. Visit its Website at www.scholars.uci.edu.
