When will UC Irvine send out admission decisions?

Fall Quarter admission decisions are sent out as follows:
  • Freshman Applicants:
    All admission decisions will be posted electronically at MyAdmissionsApplication@UCI by March 31. Students will also receive a formal letter of notification no later than March 31. Students should not contact UCI Admissions until AFTER March 31 regarding admission decisions and/or a student's status.

  • Transfer Applicants:
    All transfer admission decisions will be posted electrically at MyAdmissionsApplication@UCI by April 30th. An official letter will be sent to your current mailing address. All formal letters of notification will be mailed no later than May 1.

  • Winter 2009:
    Notifications will begin October 1-31. Admitted students for winter quarter 2009 are required to submit their official documents (transcripts and applicable test scores) to UCI by January 31, 2009 or as soon as possible.

Winter and Spring Quarters are usually closed for new applicants. However, should there be occasions when one of these quarters has limited openings, admission decisions are sent as they are processed.
