For Students Accepted for Fall 2010

Summer Session at University of California, Irvine, welcomes all incoming international undergraduate students to participate in this innovative opportunity that provides a rich linguistic, academic, social, and personal foundation for the next four years.   Arrive at our campus during the summer, when the campus is more accessible and relaxed.   Join other international students from over 20 countries in an exciting language and culture program, and simultaneously, be part of a small, highly motivated group of incoming American and international undergraduate students.
 
In the Freshman Summer Start Program you will get comfortable with the UCI campus and your new American environment, gain confidence and fluency in using English in everyday living, start to earn UCI academic units that will count towards your undergraduate degree, and make lasting friendships with other incoming international and American freshmen.
