Data Source: http://www.oir.uci.edu/scs/2005-06/fall/tot.html
UC Irvine's total enrollment in fall 2005 was 24,362. Of these, 20,061 were undergraduate and teacher education students, and 4,301 were graduate and health science students. Nine percent of students did not list their ethnicity.

Some interesting facts about UC Irvine Undergraduates:

  • Of the undergraduate population, 49.2% are women and 50.1% are men. Less than one percent of students did not list their gender.

  • Almost 80% of all undergraduates are 21 years of age or younger.

  • Nearly all undergraduates are California residents. Out-of-state and international students represent 3% of the undergraduate student body.

  • Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Santa Clara, and Ventura counties send the most undergraduates to UC Irvine.

  • The average time to graduate is four years plus one quarter. The median amount of time is four years. This means that half of the UC Irvine students who graduate complete the requirements for their bachelor's degree is four years or less.
