How do I . . .


  • ...obtain my UC Irvine ID number?
    If you have lost your UC Irvine ID number and are unable to access the UC Irvine Application Status page, we will resend access information to you via U.S. mail. We will use the address listed on your application for admission. It may take up to 10 days for you to receive this information. If you have your Application ID number, you may have your UC Irvine ID number e-mailed to the address on your application form. Click here and submit your request under "Forgot your UC Irvine Student ID Number?".


  • ...correct my name, Social Security number, or release information?
    These changes must be submitted in writing and mailed to the Admissions Office. Be sure to include your UC Irvine Student ID Number. Mail your updated information to the address below. (For name changes, please include the the documentation listed here. ) In order for UC Irvine to release application information, you must sign the "Release Authorization" section of the application (Items 131-135).

  • ...change my major?
    The deadline to request a major change through the Admissions office is Monday, June 1st at 9 a.m. You must submit your request on the MyAdmissionsApplication@UCI. Your Admissions Counselor will notify you if it is approved. Approval depends on whether you qualify for that new major and whether space is available in the major.  If you miss the June 1st deadline, you may be able to change your major at summer orientation (SPOP), provided the new major is accepting major changes. It's also possible to change majors after you've taken some classes at UCI. Discuss this with your Academic Counselor when you attend summer orientation.

     

  • ...notify UC Irvine of a failed course (D or F grade)?
    Freshmen are responsible for reporting all D or F grades earned in the seventh semester, in writing, as soon as possible. In some cases we may be able to advise you of options that will enable you to remain UC-eligible. Be sure to include your UC Irvine Student ID Number and mail your letter to:

  • ...notify UC Irvine of a course schedule change?
    You are responsible for reporting any schedule changes to your class schedule. This is important because course changes may affect your eligibility in certain majors. Be sure to include your UC Irvine Student ID Number and mail your letter to:
